Basic Black Jack Rules
The aim of any blackjack gambler is to stand with a larger hand than the dealer’s total without going over 21. In all Blackjack versions, the values of the cards are equal: all the numbered from 2-10 cards are counted as numbered, all the face cards (Jack, Queen and King) have the value of 10, and an Ace can be counted as 1 or 11 regarding what will make the player/dealer hand higher. The hand that exceeds the total of 21 is called to Bust and loses automatically. In Black Jack Rules, the gambler’s hand is compared only against the hand of a dealer, which turns other gambler hands of no importance.
How the cards are dealt
When all the gamblers have finished their wagers, the dealer deals the cards. Every player according to Black Jack Rules is dealt two cards face up and the croupier gives to himself 2 cards, one face up and the second face down. When all the gamblers have got the cards, the dealer proceeds from one player to another so that each of them can choose of the way he wishes to play his hand.
The basic decisions in Black Jack Rules:
Surrendering option allows the player to give up his hand and get back 0.5 of his original wager.
Hit option means asking for one more card.
Stand option means asking to be dealt no cards.
Doubling option means doubling the primary bet and asking for simply one more card.
Splitting option is asking to divide the hand to make two separate hands and increasing twice the first bet. This decision is allowed only in case the original 2 cards are of one and the same count.
Insurance option is an decision available for the players when the croupier up card is an Ace. Insurance bet pays out 2 to 1 and commonly costs 1/2 of the first wager. In case the dealer has a Blackjack, the gambler gives away the original wager, but is given the insurance bet and the pay off back.
As soon as all the gamblers have made up their mind, the croupier gambles the hand. The dealer shows the down card (also known as the hole) and makes a choice of whether to ask for another card or stand, as all the other solutions are just for gamblers. The croupier plays right conforming to the casino Black Jack Rules and regulations, it is prohibited that the dealer plays as he wants. All dealers must ask for more cards till the total of the hand is higher or exactly 17. Occasionally the Black Jack Rules may differ according to the hand is hard or soft 17 (with or without an Ace), nevertheless, the initial rule covers all the 17s.
Blackjack
The total 21 in the first two cards (a 10-valued card and an Ace) is known as a Blackjack, also a Natural. This is the best hand and pays out 3-to-2 unless dealer’s hand is a Blackjack, that means the hands Push (the bets are returned in the full amount). One more point is that if gambler’s first two cards are 2 Aces and he has chosen to split and one of the following cards is ten-valued one, this hand is not viewed as a Blackjack or a Natural, but simply a hand with a hand total of 21.
